Post-Inflammatory Reactive Airways Disease

Post-inflammatory reactive airways disease is an asthma-like state  where airways in the lungs are easily irritated, leading to  inflammation. This typically occurs after a severe viral upper  respiratory infection in a child less than three years of age. The  disease responds to asthma-like therapy but is not necessarily a  long-standing or chronic condition.
