Toxic Parts

  • All parts are toxic.

  • Smoke from burning the plant can be poisonous.

  • Water in which the flowers are placed can be poisonous.

  • Honey from the flower nectar can be toxic.

  • Ingestion of a single leaf could be fatal.

Symptoms

  • Nausea

  • Severe vomiting

  • Stomach pain

  • Dizziness

  • Slow pulse

  • Irregular heartbeat

  • Marked dilation of pupils

  • Bloody diarrhea

  • Drowsiness

  • Coma

  • Shock

Warning signs – Call our office or the poison control center if:

You think your child has eaten or been exposed to any poisonous  plant, bring a piece of the plant to the phone and call the poison  control center now.
